Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex, and Urban area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning machine, Polishing machines, Waxing machine, Steam cleaners, Power tools, Power lawn mowers, and Snow blower
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in all weather conditions
- The candidates should be capable of efficiently handling repetitive tasks while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary to perform various job duties and tasks effectively
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should exhibit dependability and reliability in fulfilling their responsibilities consistently, demonstrating excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should show flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and demonstrate good judgment in decision-making situations
- The candidates should demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and taking on new challenges, while being organized in managing tasks and responsibilities
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
- The candidates should be able to operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse
- The candidates should be able to empty trash cans and other waste containers
- The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
- The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
- The candidates should be able to move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
- The candidates should be able to perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
- The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
- The candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision
- The candidates should be able to clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
