Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be proficient in excellent written and oral communications, and interpersonal skills
• The candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Revit, and AutoCAD
• The candidates should have an understanding of operational barriers and failures, and they should be able to identify/improve designs, methods, processes, and flows through collaboration
• The candidates should be technical-minded with the ability to resolve issues related to information systems reporting, report generation and storage, customized reports, and data integration, and they should be able to write complex queries and create databases as needed

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assist in conducting data gathering and analysis to support the workflow and planning activities of the BaSE Supervisors, contributing to the efficient operation of package handling equipment and UPS facilities
• The candidates should be able to compile data, develop reports, conduct periodic audits, and produce project summaries, ensuring accurate documentation and analysis of engineering activities within the BaSE function
• The candidates should be able to provide support to numerous groups within the BaSE function, assisting in various tasks related to designing, constructing, and maintaining package handling equipment and UPS facilities across Canada
• The candidates should be able to demonstrate commitment and dedication to the responsibilities assigned within the BaSE Department in the Vancouver area operations
• The candidates should be able to create and modify AutoCAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements
• The candidates should be able to conduct operational improvement studies and prepare reports, identifying areas for optimization within engineering projects
• The candidates should be able to perform routine technical surveys, inspections, and audits, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations
• The candidates should be able to assist in daily maintenance and compliance activities, contributing to the efficient operation of systems and equipment
• The candidates should be able to ensure system safety in all engineering activities, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and property
• The candidates should be able to prepare designs and plans in accordance with established codes, standards, and specifications, ensuring regulatory compliance
• The candidates should be able to estimate costs and develop budgets for engineering projects, managing financial resources effectively
• The candidates should be able to manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals
• The candidates should be able to ensure environmental compliance in all engineering activities, minimizing environmental impact and promoting sustainability
• The candidates should be able to prepare reports documenting engineering activities and project progress, providing clear and concise communication to stakeholders
