Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Wholesale establishment/store
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Buying, product selection, and negotiation
Computer and technology knowledge: Database software
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have attention to detail
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and demonstrate excellent oral communication
- The candidates should exhibit judgment, be organized, and be team players.
- The candidates should be analytical
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain contact with suppliers, maintain adequate stock levels, and negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers
- The candidates should be able to oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets, provide customer service, and review requirements of establishment to determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
- The candidates should be able to select and purchase merchandise for resale, supervise work of other buyers, and visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events
