Salary: $22.09 to $24.94 per hour for 40 to 48 hours per week

Work Setting: Sugar and sugar confectionery manufacturers, Food processing plant
Work Site Environment: Noisy
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available
Work Location Information: Relocation costs not covered by employer
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
Single function machine, Multi-functional process control machinery
Type of Operation: Packaging, Mixing, Cooling, Blending, Bottling, Baking or cooking
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform corrective machine adjustments
- The candidate should be able to inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities
- The candidate should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
- The candidate should be able to record production information
- The candidate should be a team player
- The candidate should have an excellent oral communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
- The candidate should be able to operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products
- The candidate should be able to observe gauges, computer printouts and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions
- The candidate should be able to maintain shift log of production and other data
- The candidate should be able to check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards
