Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 80 hours per week

Shifts: 07:00 to 15:30
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Construction, Various locations, Renovation, Millwork/pre-fab shop work, Custom Work, and Shop work
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Furniture
Equipment and machinery experience: Power tools and Hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work effectively in noisy and dusty environments
- The candidates should be capable of tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding activities
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication abilities, and efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should be judgment, reliable, and punctuality
- The candidates should be a team player
- The candidates should uphold values and ethics in their professional conduct
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- The candidates should be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- The candidates should be able to schedule and coordinate work on sites, instruct apprentices, and supervise other workers
- The candidates should be able to estimate costs and materials, work with minimal supervision, and keep the shop and warehouse clean
