Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Major Work Area: Renovation, Maintenance and repair, Construction
Work Setting: Residential, Commercial
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles
Work Setting Environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Willing to travel
Work Location Information: Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 Year to 2 Years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
  • The candidate should be physically demanding
  • The candidate should be a combination of Bending, crouching, kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • The candidate should be able to instruct apprentices
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills
  • The candidate should be able to work with accuracy
  • The candidate should be a team player
  • The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client
  • The candidate should be able to work with values and ethics
  • The candidate should be someone who can be relied on

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • The candidate should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • The candidate should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
