Handi’s Convenience is a neighborhood convenience store providing essential goods and services to residents and visitors in the local community. With a focus on convenience and accessibility, Handi’s offers a variety of products including snacks, beverages, groceries, household items, and basic necessities. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, however experience is an asset
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate the cash register accurately and efficiently
- The candidates should be able to process various forms of payment, including money, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions, with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to scan items quickly and accurately during checkout
- The candidates should be able to tabulate the total payment for goods or services required accurately
- The candidates should be able to receive payment for goods or services promptly and provide appropriate change
- The candidates should be able to calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile them with total sales accurately
- The candidates should be able to engage in suggestive selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and maintain a clean counter area for efficient operations
- The candidates should be able to greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed
- The candidates should be able to wrap or place merchandise in bags securely and efficiently
- The candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service at all times, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively
- The candidates should be able to calculate foreign currency exchange accurately if required
- The candidates should be able to verify the age of customers when selling restricted items like lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
