Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail while capable of working under pressure
- The candidates should be comfortable with standing for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work and possess excellent oral communication skills
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
- The candidates should be able to tabulate the total payment for goods or services required, receive payment for goods or services, and calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean the counter area, greet customers, wrap or place merchandise in bags, provide customer service, and verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
