Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Work setting: Supermarket/grocery store
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
- The candidates should be able to tabulate the total payment for goods or services required, receive payment for goods or services, and calculate daily/shift payments received, reconciling with total sales
- The candidates should be able to engage in suggestive selling, stock shelves, and clean the counter area
- The candidates should be able to greet customers, accept reservations or take-out orders, and wrap or place merchandise in bags
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service, assist customers with self-checkout, and monitor all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
- The candidates should be able to participate in promotional activities
