Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adept at working in a fast-paced environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and be flexible in adapting to changing situations
  • The candidates should be highly organized

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory, as well as requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • The candidates should be able to supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, prepare and cook food on a regular basis or for special guests or functions, and prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
  • The candidates should be able to estimate food requirements and food and labor costs, plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants, and plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • The candidates should be able to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks, and train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food
