Salary: $32.84 hourly 42 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: 98 rue du bateau passeur Tadoussac, QC G0T 2A0
: Day, Shift, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by employer
Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Type of experience: Ferry
Credentials: 2nd Class Marine Engineer Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
  • The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, dependable, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player


  • The candidates should be able to operate main engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment on ships
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and co-ordinate activities of engine room crew
  • The candidates should be able to stand engine room watch, monitoring and noting performance of engines, machinery and all auxiliary equipment
  • The candidates should be able to inspect and conduct maintenance and emergency repairs to engines, machinery and all auxiliary equipment


  • The candidates will get group insurance benefits, Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)
