Salary: $40,380 to $51,818 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Group home and Urban area

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Mental health first aid Certificate, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Cultural Awareness Training, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child welfare check, and Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in child welfare within a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure in the field of child welfare
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication abilities and display flexibility in adapting to various situations
- The candidates should show initiative in their work and demonstrate good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to engage in administrative and office activities, appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, and implement life skills workshops
- The candidates should assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs, perform housekeeping activities, and engage in food preparation
- The candidates should provide suicide and crisis intervention, resolve conflict situations, and supervise activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses
- The candidates should liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
- The candidates should assist clients/guests with special needs and accompany clients to appointments and social outings
