Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Iloko, and Tagalog
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in tasks, including weight handling up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should maintain a strong client focus, prioritizing client needs and providing excellent service, and possess efficient interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication skills, articulating ideas clearly and effectively to clients and team members, and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and client requirements
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making, especially in client-facing situations, be reliable, consistently delivering results and meeting client expectations, and possess strong time management skills, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and client needs
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, travel with the family on trips, and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
