Work setting: Employer’s home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. NOTE: This is not a condition of employment), urban area, and work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Toddler to pre-school (1 – 3 years) and kindergarten age (4 – 5 years)
Security and safety: Criminal record check and reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and comfortable with repetitive tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong focus on client satisfaction and demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in handling various job responsibilities and show initiative in their work
- The candidates should have good judgment in decision-making and be highly organized
- The candidates should be reliable in performing their duties

- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, as well as bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
- The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents and instruct them in personal hygiene and social development
- The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, including taking them to and from school and appointments, and tending to their emotional well-being
