Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers
- The candidates should be scent-free
- The candidates should be able to lift weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs) as necessary for the job
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on meeting client needs and providing excellent service, exhibit sound judgment in decision-making processes
- The candidates should be reliable, consistently fulfilling their duties and obligations, possess effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- The candidates should also demonstrate patience when dealing with clients or challenging situations, and uphold honesty and integrity in all interactions and transactions
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring the well-being and safety of infants and children, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children with care and attention to their needs, prepare and serve nutritious meals suitable for infants and children, considering dietary requirements and preferences
- The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods, ensuring they are comfortable and settled, sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants as needed, following hygienic practices
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children attentively, engaging them in age-appropriate activities and ensuring their safety at all times
