Work setting: Employer’s home, work in employer’s/client’s home, room and board provided
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and tasks and exhibit flexibility in adapting to various circumstances and requirements
- The candidates should maintain organization in their work methods and responsibilities and demonstrate reliability in fulfilling their duties and commitments
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
- The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, supervise and care for children, and take children to and from school and to appointments
- The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children and help children with homework
