Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, and Urban area
Target audience: Supervise and care for a multi-aged group of children
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate initiative and reliability
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision, housekeeping duties, and discipline according to parental methods
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, keeping records of daily activities and health information, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and supervise children’s rest periods
- The candidates should be able to take children to and from school, appointments, help with homework, and tend to their emotional well-being
