Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Employer’s home and work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR
Security and safety: Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking as a requirement for the role
- The candidates should adhere to a scent-free policy as part of the job expectations
- The candidates should be physically fit to handle the demands of a physically demanding job
- The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks with precision and consistency
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be efficient in interpersonal skills, fostering positive and effective communication
- The candidates should be flexible, adapting easily to changes in tasks, priorities, or work environments, and demonstrating initiative by proactively addressing tasks and challenges
- The candidates should exhibit sound judgment in decision-making, be organized, managing tasks and responsibilities in a systematic and efficient manner
- The candidates should be reliable, consistently delivering high-quality work within established timelines, and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shopping for food and household supplies
- The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and supervise and care for children, tending to their emotional well-being
