Transportation information: Public transportation is available, Travel expenses paid by the employer
Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Supervise and care for multi-aged groups of children
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in a non-smoking and scent-free area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication and efficient interpersonal skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies
- The candidates should be able to travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments
- The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children, help children with homework
