Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Early childhood education and teaching, and Social work, other
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Credentials: Developmental services worker (DSW) Training and Emergency child care first aid and CPR
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required, and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers and adhere to a scent-free policy
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, being physically fit for physically demanding tasks, and working under pressure
  • The candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a client-focused approach, possessing efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and showcasing flexibility
  • The candidates should demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, and be organized
  • The candidates should exhibit reliability, be team players, and have effective time management skills

Candidate Status:

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shopping for food and household supplies
  • The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, keep records of daily activities and health information, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children while assisting with homework
