Supervision: 5-10 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of work experience: Design, Quality assurance or control
Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional, Residential construction
Transportation specialization: Roads and highways, Bridges and overpasses, Airport, and Railways
Municipal specialization: Sewers and sewage treatment, Industrial waste management, Storm drainage and control, and Water control system and structures
Specialization or experience: Green economy sector, Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Area of specialization: Municipal or urban, Water resources, Sanitation
Computer and technology knowledge: Cloud, AutoCAD, MS Office, Mapping and data vi
Credentials: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association, Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association, and Project Management Professional (PMP)
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of working under pressure, and excel in meeting tight deadlines
  • The candidates should possess attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between colors, be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and capable of standing for extended periods
  • The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and willing to work overtime when required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate accuracy in their work and possess efficient interpersonal skills, exhibiting excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, demonstrate good judgment, and be organized in their tasks
  • The candidates should be effective team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, municipal and regional traffic studies, environmental impact studies, or other investigations, including site visits to gather relevant information
  • The candidates should be able to conduct technical analyses of survey and field data, confer with clients and other members of the engineering team, and conduct research to determine project requirements, developing construction specifications and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations, establish and monitor construction work schedules, and evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials, interpreting, reviewing, and approving survey and civil design work
