First Time based in Pembroke, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Cleaner. First Time is a family owned and operated Commercial Cleaning business where we provide free quotations for janitorial services for full contracts, sub-contracts, and for specialty jobs; for any size of facility. We specialize in initial floor work (strip & wax, scrub & wax) as well as carpet cleaning and windows. All workers are WHMIS certified; some are TDG, First Aid and/or Fall Arrest trained. We can supply all machinery, cleaning products/supplies and labour. We use an assortment of professional cleaning equipment, not limited to propane burnishers and automatic floor scrubbers. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be adept at working in a fast-paced environment, handling work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. They should be capable of managing repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads, even in physically demanding conditions, with a strong attention to detail.
- The candidates should be capable of working in combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, and walking, with a weight handling capacity of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
- The candidates should be able to dust furniture
- The candidates should be able to vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
- The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- The candidates should be able to disinfect operating rooms and other areas
- The candidates should be able to clean and disinfect elevators
- The candidates should be able to pick up debris and empty trash containers
- The candidates should be able to wash windows, walls, and ceilings
- The candidates should be able to clean changing rooms and showers
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
