Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning machine, Polishing machines, Waxing machine, Steam cleaners, Power tools, Power lawn mowers, Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments), Upholstery cleaning equipment, Snow blower
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and be comfortable with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and be physically demanding
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be dependable and flexible
- The candidates should demonstrate initiative, have good judgment, and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse
- The candidates should be able to empty trash cans and other waste containers, wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
- The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
- The candidates should be able to balance rent roll, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance, and perform safety and security checks
- The candidates should be able to supervise other workers, move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
- The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision
- The candidates should be able to clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
