Salary: $15.50 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: Waterloo, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning and Morning
Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex, dormitory or student residence, factory or plant, office building, various locations, commercial building, industrial facility or establishment, shopping centre or mall, recreational facility/institution, health care institution, facility or clinic, hospital/medical facility or clinic, hotel, motel, resort, religious organization and school or educational institution/establishment
Security and safety: Basic security clearance required and criminal record should checked
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation required and valid driver’s licence required
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and more than 45 kg (100 lbs)


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Spanish Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
  • The candidate should be physically strong

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment, in an organized way and also take initiative
  • The candidate should be someone who can judge, dependable and also reliable
  • The candidate should have specialization on equipment like Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning machine, Polishing machines, Waxing machine, Steam cleaners, Power tools, Power lawn mowers, Security system, Upholstery cleaning equipment and also Snowblower


  • The candidate should be able to sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs, operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse, empty trash cans and other waste containers, wash windows, interior walls and ceilings, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures and also clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
  • The candidate should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment and also perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • The candidate should be able to perform safety and security checks and also move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
  • The candidate should be able to supervise other workers and also work with minimal supervision
