Work setting: Specialty shop, In-shop, Bake shop, and Bakery
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Type of product: Food and food products
Food specialties: Wedding and specialty cakes, Desserts and pastries, Cake decorating and Breads and rolls
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks and adept at handling repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and work under pressure
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity for intricate tasks and have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination, have the ability to distinguish between colors, and be able to meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lb

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register and computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems
- The candidates should be able to provide advice about merchandise and assist in the display of merchandise
- The candidates should be able to conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce and estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
- The candidates should be able to greet customers, discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services, and maintain sales records for inventory control
- The candidates should be able to prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, prepare sales, rental, or leasing contracts, and accept various forms of payment
- The candidates should be able to prepare special orders, inspect kitchen and food service areas, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods, and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- The candidates should be able to draw up production schedules, bake mixed dough and batters, prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, and operate machinery
