Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to constantly lift objects less than 5lbs and occasionally lift between 20 – 40 lbs when assisting with a patient’s luggage (ambulatory care) or lifting a box of files requiring assistance. They may also be required to maneuver carts and use a step ladder to access higher shelves
  • The candidates should constantly perform fine finger/precision work while sitting and using a computer mouse, scheduling appointments, and performing other duties
  • The candidates should have the opportunity to stand and walk and the opportunity to take postural breaks (sit, stand, or walk) within the office environment
  • The candidates should frequently perform bilateral repetitive fine motor skills when performing various computer work duties that involve typing and using the computer’s mouse

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have successfully completed an approved/recognized medical terminology course
  • The candidates should maintain a satisfactory record of work performance
  • The candidates should provide proof of a current office administration program and medical terminology and they must have been completed within the last five years unless they have been used in recent positions

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform word processing, data entry, general clerical, and other administrative/support duties for the Cardiac Critical Care – Cardiac Rehabilitation Program (CRP)
  • The candidates should be able to handle photocopying, filing, and data entry of patient care information and able to maintain patient records and ensure their accuracy and completeness
  • The candidates should be able to arrange appointments and manage schedules effectively and be able to screen phone calls and handle inquiries professionally
  • The candidates should be able to order and manage supplies for the CRP
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate closely with the Patient Care Coordinator and Physician for CRP
  • The candidates should be able to report to the Division Manager of Cardiology and follow instructions effectively
