Access Precision Machining Ltd based in Salmon Arm, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of CNC (computer numerical control) machinist. Access Precision Machining Ltd was founded by owner, Mike Melin, with the goal of providing cutting edge CNC Machining services to the North American market and beyond since 1997. We have grown out of one building, moving into a brand new, purpose built facility and expanding to 20 CNC machines centres, waterjet cutting, welding, and fabrication. Our employee’s love living here and that contributes to our extremely low staff turnover. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

  • The candidate should be able to set up and adjust production machineries/tools and also set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
  • The candidate should be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) and also verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • The candidate should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports and also compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
