Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Industrial, commercial, and institutional, pipelines, residential, and water mains
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and capable of working at heights
- The candidates should be able to work in confined spaces and be aware of and able to handle potentially dangerous situations
- The candidates should be prepared to work in dusty environments
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be accustomed to working under tight deadlines and be comfortable with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and be willing to work overtime when necessary
- The candidates should be capable of handling weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist the medical examiner in charge
- The candidates should be able to assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, pave and rake asphalt, and assist in demolishing buildings
- The candidates should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction site
