Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work outdoors
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights
- The candidates should understand and adhere to safety protocols, especially when working in dangerous conditions
- The candidates should be capable of handling weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate, reliable, and demonstrate flexibility in their work
- The candidates should be team players and demonstrate reliability in their work
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials, and clean and lubricate cranes
- The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, and assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
- The candidates should be able to operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures, mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and perform routine maintenance work
- The candidates should be able to help the medical examiner in charge, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites
