Salary: $21.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Halifax, NS

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Safety vest

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive taskers
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye coordination
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload and transport construction materials
  • The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
  • The candidates should be able to mix, pour and spread materials, assist heavy equipment operators, assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs, pave and rake asphalt, assist in demolishing buildings
  • The candidates should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, direct traffic at or near construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance work, assemble tower cranes on site
