Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Equipment and machinery experience: Grinding machine, Jackhammers, Air compressors, Chippers, Nail guns, Air guns, Drill
Construction specialization: Sidewalks and curbs, Roads and bridges, Industrial, commercial and institutional, Residential, Driveways
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, wet/damp area, noisy area, outdoors, and dusty area
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication and efficient interpersonal skills
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload and transport construction materials, mix, pour and spread materials, assist heavy equipment operators
- The candidates should be able to assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
- The candidates should be able to level earth to fine grade specifications, pave and rake asphalt, assist in demolishing buildings
- The candidates should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites, read and interpret blueprints
- The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance work, instruct apprentices
- The candidates should be able to clean and lubricate cranes, operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side
