Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials
- The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
- The candidates should be able to level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt
- The candidates should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices and clean and lubricate cranes
- The candidates should be able to operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials
- The candidates should be able to operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
- The candidates should be able to operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
- The candidates should be able to assemble tower cranes on-site
