Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 year to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in various challenging conditions, including outdoors, underground, at heights, and in confined spaces, and should be prepared for potentially dangerous work environments
  • The candidates should excel in fast-paced, noisy, and dusty work environments, meet tight deadlines, and be comfortable with repetitive tasks, heavy loads, and physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should possess strong manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, and sound discrimination, be willing to work overtime when required, and be capable of sitting as part of the job while maintaining attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong client focus and excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, exhibit flexibility, and excel as team players
  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability, be accurate in their work, be dependable, and be hardworking

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials and erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials, assist heavy equipment operators, and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • The candidates should be able to assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, and level earth to fine grade specifications
  • The candidates should be able to pave and rake asphalt, assist in demolishing buildings, and clean and pile salvaged materials
  • The candidates should be able to clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites, read and interpret blueprints, perform routine maintenance work, and instruct apprentices
  • The candidates should be able to clean and lubricate cranes and operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials
  • The candidates should be able to operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures, operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port sides, and operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas
  • The candidates should be able to operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards, operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials, and operate offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels
  • The candidates should be able to operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials, operate dragline cranes to expose coal seams and ore deposits at open pit mines, and perform pre-operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
  • The candidates should be able to assemble tower cranes on site
