Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, clean and lubricate cranes, and erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices, mix, pour, and spread materials, and operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas
- The candidates should be able to assist heavy equipment operators, operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side, and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
- The candidates should be able to assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work
- The candidates should be able to clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and read and interpret blueprints
