Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work efficiently in noisy environments and be comfortable working in dusty conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks and schedules, and be hardworking, showing dedication and diligence in their work
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials, and clean and lubricate cranes
- The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, and operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
- The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
- The candidates should be able to operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials, assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, and pave and rake asphalt
- The candidates should be able to assist in demolishing buildings and perform routine maintenance work
