Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef
- The candidates should be able to plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, showcasing comprehensive menu management skills
- The candidates should be able to train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- The candidates should be able to maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient kitchen operations
- The candidates should be able to clean the kitchen and work areas, emphasizing hygiene and cleanliness
- The candidates should be able to organize and manage buffets and banquets, exhibiting event planning and coordination expertise
