Shifts: Day, 08:00 to 16:30
Work setting: Camp
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Student Status: Full-time enrollment, Early childhood education and teaching, Parks, recreation and leisure studies, Health and physical education/fitness, general, and Mental health counselling/counsellor
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in hot environments
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate, dependability, client focus, flexibility, and reliable
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication skills, interpersonal awareness
- The candidates should show initiative in their tasks, demonstrate good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be organized in their work approach, and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts, lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, and plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities
- The candidates should be able to prepare reports and understand the principles of group dynamics
- The candidates should be able to schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records, and prepare reports
- The candidates should be able to lead/instruct groups, patrol/supervise activities, and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- The candidates should be able to assemble supplies, sports, and game equipment
