Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 3 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or food service

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically fit, able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, climb, and lift up to 70lb repetitively
  • The candidates must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or be able to show proof of the right to work in Canada

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience handling cash and processing payments using a POS system
  • The candidates should possess Food Safe Level 1 certification and should hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and have excellent English verbal and written abilities
  • The candidates should consistently exhibit an energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to multitask and change priorities in a busy work environment
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and retain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and pass both Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP) and Radio Operator’s Certificate (ROC-A) written exams within 60 days of employment and Completion of AVOP certification within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide renowned exceptional customer service Air North is famous for and ensure the smooth operations of the grab-and-go food service counter
  • The candidates should be able to assist customers in selecting food and beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, handling inquiries, complaints, and transactions while maintaining cleanliness and upholding food safety standards
  • The candidates should be able to provide friendly and efficient customer service by greeting customers, offering assistance, and answering inquiries about the products and menu options and able to accurately process all orders and monetary transactions in the Point of Sale (P.O.S.)
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and assemble grab-and-go food and beverage items such as sandwiches, salads, snacks, beverages, and other menu offerings according to established recipes and guidelines
  • The candidates should be able to develop a thorough understanding of menu items and ingredient lists to be able to answer questions regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions
  • The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize the counter and dining areas such as displays and glass showcases, kitchen appliances and working surfaces, tables, chairs, and other high-touch surfaces
  • The candidates should be able to restock coffee stations, displays, and refrigerators when required, ensuring they are organized and that food items are labeled properly and able to follow the legal rules of serving liquor in accordance with the Yukon Liquor Corporation
  • The candidates should be able to follow all safety regulations laid out by local and federal health authorities, Air North, YG Aviation Branch, and Transport Canada
  • The candidates should be able to be part of the BWB team presenting a clean, organized, and efficient bistro with a reputation for delicious food
