Gingerbread Haus Bakery Ltd. based in Halifax, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Counter Attendant-Food Service. Gingerbread Haus Bakery Ltd. is famous for its German-style buttercream tortes, European style pastries and delicious sourdough bread. We are known to bake products using the best ingredients. We are known to only use the finest ingredients in our baked goods including fresh apples and cherries from the Annapolis Valley. All our products remain available in-store or by delivery. Our store remains open from Monday to Friday.
The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to part-time or permanent employment. The candidate has to work weekend shifts.

- The candidate should have counter attendant and food preparer skills to take customers’ orders
- The candidate should have counter attendant and food preparer skills to stock refrigerators and salad bars
- The candidate should have counter attendant and food preparer skills to serve customers at counters or buffet tables
- The candidate should counter attendant and food preparer skills to portion and wrap foods
- The candidate should have counter attendant and food preparer skills to package take-out food
- The candidate should counter attendant and food preparer skills to keep records of the quantities of food used
- The candidate should have counter attendant and food preparer skills to prepare, heat and finish simple food items
- The candidate should have dishwashing skills to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
- The candidate should have kitchen helpers skills to wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
- The candidate should have kitchen helpers skills to handle and store cleaning products
- The candidate should have kitchen helpers skills to clean and sanitize the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
