Salary: $15.55 hourly 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: 2391 Front Rd, Windsor, ON N9J 1V5
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, 07:00 to 18:00
Type of crops: Cabbage, Onions, Zucchinis, Vegetables
Work setting: Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Forklift, Tractor, Vegetable harvester
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be adept at working in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with standing for extended periods during their work shifts
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops, and do other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently, proficient in bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the role
- The candidates should be physically fit and capable of handling heavy loads as part of their duties
- The candidates should be able to work in outdoors, and hot area
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables, hoe crops, and weed
- The candidates should be able to grade produce, examine it for quality, perform vegetable culling, and prepare for market
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
