Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have High school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 2 years’ experience working for a Customs Broker

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be knowledgeable about customs operations, laws, and regulations, as well as other government departments
  • The candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • The candidates should preferably possess a Customs Broker License
  • The candidates should be adept at accurate and rapid data entry
  • The candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare customs entries and forward freight to designated locations, including interfacing with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers
  • The candidates should be able to prepare customs entries and follow up with the clearance process on all entries prepared
  • The candidates should be able to communicate documentation discrepancies to the client and supervisor
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
  • The candidates should be able to resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
  • The candidates should be able to scan entries into the imaging system, meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements
  • The candidates should be able to prepare reports/presentations and analysis using various software packages and databases
  • The candidates should be able to follow up on documentation discrepancy issues, which require the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers and foreign origins
  • The candidates should be able to establish and maintain client relationships
