Work setting: Rural area, Dairy

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Dairy cattle
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working effectively under pressure, demonstrating a strong attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be organized, be a strong team player, and have excellent oral communication skills

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to handle animals, monitor animal health, and recognize and treat certain livestock health problems
  • The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties, formulate a feeding program, and maintain livestock performance records
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
