Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience with computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have previous experience working in a Data Center environment, including racking and stacking gear, cable management, and hot and cold aisle containment
- The candidate should have an understanding of Linux or similar operating systems, an understanding of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting
- The candidate should have an understanding of storage devices, an understanding of scripting languages
- The candidate should have experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system, possess a degree or have equivalent experience in an IT-related field
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide onsite coverage as a team in shifts and/or weekly on-call rotations
- The candidates should be able to respond to high-severity events within defined SLAs, participate in Data Center power and cooling events
- The candidates should be able to perform break-fix activities on servers and network devices
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot network connections effectively, coordinate and build relationships with various Data Center teams
- The candidates should be able to interact with third-party vendors and contractors professionally
- The candidates should be able to seek out ways to improve themselves, processes, and the systems they work with
- The candidates should be able to contribute to the development and growth of other team members
