Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status security screening with the Government of Canada Microsoft will assess eligibility on a case-by-case basis
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have GED, 2 or more years of experience working in a data center environment and experience with cabling and hardware
- The candidates should hold applicable certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) or Basic Structure Cabling (BSC)
- The candidates should be able to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to contribute to issue tracking by escalating concerns, asking questions, and seeking guidance from more experienced technicians to ensure timely resolution
- The candidates should be able to participate in daily safety briefings, complete required safety and role-specific training, and comply with all safety procedures equipment usage, lifting techniques, electrical hazard protocols, ladder/rolling stair use
- The candidates should be able to complete assigned tickets efficiently in alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), with guidance
- The candidates should be able to comply with security and data management policies and procedures and complete all required security training
- The candidates should be able to maintain a strong client focus by understanding the impact of their work when resolving tickets and performing tasks
- The candidates should be able to contribute to a positive and effective team environment by sharing relevant information, participating in team meetings, asking clarifying questions, and staying informed about teammates’ work progress
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate pride and accountability in the quality, completeness, and ownership of data center facility services, embody the company’s culture and values in their daily work
