Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Access, networking security, servers, programming software, database software, programming languages, data analysis software, MS Office, MS Windows, and electronic mail

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive tasks, demonstrating manual dexterity and attention to detail, and able to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • The candidates should possess the ability to distinguish between colors and discriminate between sounds
  • The candidates should be comfortable sitting for extended periods or engaging in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as part of their job requirements

  • The candidates should be accurate in their work, maintaining a high standard of precision, and prioritize client focus, ensuring positive interactions and client satisfaction
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, facilitating effective communication with clients and colleagues, and demonstrate excellent oral communication skills in various professional settings
  • The candidates should exhibit excellent written communication skills for effective documentation and correspondence, show initiative in taking proactive steps to contribute to the team’s success, and exercise good judgment in decision-making processes

  • The candidates should be quick learners, efficiently acquiring new skills and knowledge

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to collect and document user’s requirements, design and develop databases, and design, construct, modify, implement, and test data models and database management systems
  • The candidates should be able to conduct research and provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding the selection, application, and implementation of database management tools, and operate database management systems to analyze data
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement data administration policies, standards, and models, research and document data requirements, data collection, and administration policy, and data access rules
  • The candidates should be able to develop policies and procedures for network access and usage and for the backup and recovery of data, and conduct research and provide advice to other information systems professionals regarding the collection, availability, and suitability of data
  • The candidates should be able to lead and coordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and models
