Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of leading day, week, and/or overnight camps, covering topics such as strategy games, initiative tasks, nature appreciation, camping, and leadership development
- The candidates should be able to program, lead, and supervise children in camps throughout the summer
- The candidates should have skills such as kayaking, rock climbing, swimming, and geocaching
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a Class 4 Driver’s License
- The candidates should have a great summer heading on exciting out trips and adventures, with successful candidates coming with a large variety of games, sports, and a strong ability to assess and manage activity risk
- The candidates should possess responsibility and ability to work independently, which are key attributes for this role
- The candidates should be passionate about engaging children in an outdoor setting and enjoy working within creative themes like across the galaxy and land of the lost
- The candidates should be highly energetic, have an abundant knowledge of camp games and songs, and demonstrate a passion to connect children to the outdoors in creative and fun ways
- The candidates should have a love for the water and experience with swimming and various water sports for Swim n’ Splash. NLS and WSI certifications are beneficial
- The candidates should possess skills such as outdoor pursuits, team-building, problem-solving, risk management, leadership, and public relations
- The candidates should have a strong ability to interact and connect with teens
- The candidates should have experience working with preschool-aged children and possess a sound knowledge of crafts, games, and outdoor activities suitable for this age range and ECE or ECE assistant certification
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to have a deep weekly program planning, including organizing activities and schedules for the camp
- The candidates should be able to understand and effectively implement risk management strategies to ensure the safety of children during camp activities
