Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Child care centre and day care centre or nursery school
Supervision: 3-4 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Children
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1) and emergency child care first aid and CPR
Security and safety: Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks with precision and consistency
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as required by the job
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the role
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual, consistently arriving on time for assigned responsibilities
- The candidates should be dependable, fulfilling assigned duties reliably and consistently.
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility, adapting easily to changes in tasks, priorities, or work environments
- The candidates should be reliable, consistently delivering high-quality work within established timelines
- The candidates should be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
- The candidates should support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should provide opportunities for children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
