Responsibilities:

- The candidates should be able to assist with stocking and the sale of goods in the deli department
- The candidates should be able to develop skills in the retail industry through working as a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada
- The candidates should be able to consider working as a Deli Associate if they are seeking an exciting job in customer service or retail
- The candidates should be able to zone the department to ensure cleanliness and organization
- The candidates should be able to rotate stock and check for expired products
- The candidates should be able to ensure the merchandise is properly signed and priced
- The candidates should be able to adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
- The candidates should be able to take orders for Deli Department merchandise, slice and prepare merchandise such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken, and provide requested assistance
- The candidates should be able to provide assistance to front end Associates with price checks
- The candidates should be able to prepare deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilize slicers, stackers, and other utensils, prepare chicken using rotisserie oven and deep fryer, and fill prepared salads and side dishes for placement into the display area and specialty orders from Customers as required
- The candidates should be able to keep the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids
