Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, and transport and handle dangerous goods
- The candidates should demonstrate professionalism in customer service, accept payment or invoices for items delivered, receive and relay information to central dispatch, keep a record of items received and delivered, and provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to prepare, package, and restock goods, accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences, or assemblies, load and unload goods, sort packages for delivery, follow directions and read maps
- The candidates should be able to use maps and other trip planning aids, record trip information such as vehicle mileage and fuel costs, pay and receive payments for goods, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
