Gagnon Frères based in Jonquière, QC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Delivery driver. Gagnon Frères is a family business in business since 1904 in the retail sector and one of the largest furniture retailers with 7 stores in Quebec. Now we launched our new transactional website. A site that allows customers to find a selection of nearly 4,000 products with live inventory. We continues to expand with the addition of a 7,000 square foot store in Quebec City, located on Pierre-Bertrand Boulevard. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Job Type: On the road job (Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.)

Shifts: Day and Morning
Security and safety: Criminal record should checked and driving record should checked (abstract)
Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer and valid driver’s licence required
Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, in a flexible environment and also in an organized way
- The candidate should be someone who can judge, reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should have transportation/travel experience of local and also regional transport
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to use maps and other trip planning aids, record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems and also perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- The candidate should be able to operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, receive and relay information to central dispatch and also assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products
- The candidate should be able to prepare, package and restock goods and also load and unload goods
- The candidate should be able to professionalism in customer service
